Recording the interactions will allow you to determine various bugs that need to be fixed. When the user makes an interaction with the GUI, this interaction can be recorded. WinRunner is designed for testing GUIs, or Graphic User Interfaces. Another impressive aspect of WinRunner is the ability to record various interactions, and transform them into scripts.
WINRUNNER TEST SCRIPT SERIES
WinRunner will allow you to make comparisons between various outcomes.Ī series of wizards will be provided to the user, and these wizards can create tests in an automated manner. It is designed to function with Windows applications, and it was designed by Mercury Interactive Corporation, an organization that is based in California. WinRunner is a program that is responsible for the automated testing of software.
WINRUNNER TEST SCRIPT SOFTWARE
The Web Defect Manager and the Remote Defect Reporter are included in Test Director, Mercury Interactive’s software test management tool. If you have the Test Director 7.0i, the Web Defect Manager (Test Director 6.0), or the Remote Defect Reporter (Test Director 6.0), you can report any defects to a database. You examine the test results to pinpoint defects in the application. You run the tests on a new version of the application in order to check the application’s behavior.

WinRunner writes scripts automatically when you record actions on your application, or you can program directly in Mercury Interactive's Test Script Language (TSL).
